Following on from last year's success, we are excited to be singing and competing at the 2019 Oundle Festival of Music and Drama.
The festival is well worth a visit and runs from March 30th until April 6th 2019, with the senior choir sections which we are entering taking place on April 6th.
This will again be our second competition of the year. Further details about this superb event will follow shortly.
Taking place at the Park avenue North Methodist Church, NN3 2HT, @5pm on the 19th May. We look forward to seeing you there.
Once again we are attending the Kettfest event in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This is on the 13th July with further details to be confirmed.
We are looking to finish this year with a bang!

This concert ended the year in style for the Melody Choir, where we sang our hearts out to celebrate the wonderful work the NHS do.
The concert was raising money for Northampton General Hospital (NGH), and we were lucky enough to sing alongside two other wonderful choirs; The NGH choir and Abington Community Choir.
Oundle Festival of Music & Drama
After much preparation we were so pleased with our performance at our first competition of the year. We achieved a score of 88 which we were delighted with!
For several choir members this was their first ever competition, so a huge well done to everyone, but especially them!
Northampton Eisteddfod 2018
As our second competition of the year, we looked to build on the success of Oundle Festival and that we certainly did!
Our first class was non-competitive choirs, where we achieved superb feedback. In the second competitive class, we achieved 'highly commended', which usually equates to a score between 86 and 90.
The annual celebration of everything to do with Kettering. The choir performed a selection of our favourite pieces to the public from the Kino Lounge as part of an afternoon of local music group performances.
Once again, we received numerous compliments for what was a thoroughly enjoyable event.
A massive congratulations to every single member of the Melody Choir for today's performances at Oundle Festival of Music & Drama.
Not only did we get second and third places, we did it with scores of 86 and 87!! 🥈🥉
We have come so far over the last fortnight under the incredible direction of Stephen Bell and we promise to use what we have learnt (both technically and the belief in ourselves) moving into our next incredible chapter of singing.

At Kettering Eisteddfod today we came first and second in two separate classes with scores of 84 and 85.
We sang our heart and our talent alone proved just how far we have come.

Anne-Marie (Education Officer for Boughton House & Montague Monuments in Warkton) has just confirmed that over £400 was raised last Friday evening! A massive well done and thank you to everyone that came and supported us!

Despite a cold and snowy evening, we entered into the festive spirit and entertained the audience at the Kettering Christmas Lights Switch on.
An evening of beautiful music was had at St Peter and St Paul's Church Kettering, where we joined The Songbirds in their Christmas concert.
We received numerous compliments for the pieces we sang. The collaboration between the choirs for 'O Holy Night' was particularly well received. Well done to everyone!
